UPDATE: Ordered food from Chico and Chang’s. You really can’t go wrong with Mongolian Beef on a Italian roll smothered in melted cheese can you? I agree. I had the pleasure of dinning on the fine take-out with my good friend Alicia. Between the two of us we had the sub, a cheese burger, a bean burrito, and spring rolls. Crazy.
On a not at all related note, I finally made the exciting step into the home theater arena. The first purchase was the Kenwood VR-6060 Dolby Digital EX / DTS ES receiver. This is a fine receiver with everything that I wanted and at a reasonable price. I’m pretty sure it is last years model so some good prices can be found online and at local stores. The next step will be to get the speakers (right now the receiver is functioning as an expensive paper weight). I’ll probably go with the Mirage OMNI 50 bookshelf speakers as my fronts. These may look small, but they sound incredible. From there, not really sure what I’ll be doing. The rest of the 5.1 setup is a must, but just not sure of the specifics right now. What a fun process.
One of the negatives of living in an apartment (besides having my friends tell me at least once a week that I am throwing money away and that I should really own a place since the rates are so low) is that I get many random menus and invitations to join health clubs stuck in my door. Usually I just throw them away without giving much of a look. However, I received one the other day from Chico And Chang and it caught my attention.
What a beautiful idea, Mexican and Chinese food delivered to your door from the same place. They’ve even got interesting conglomerations such as the Moo Shu Chicken Burrito and the Mongolian Beef Sub.
I can’t speak for the food, since I have not ordered from them yet, but what a promising dinner selection!
Last night I was caught up in this fiasco. As if traffic in Atlanta was not bad enough. It indeed is a sad event.
I have now had my car in ‘Park’ on two different major Atlanta interstates, I-85 and 75. The time on 75 I was actually able to drive northbound on the southbound lanes. Plus, I went up the on ramp that I just used to get on the highway. That was interesting.
On a somewhat related note, in my quest to find out what was going on while sitting in traffic, I discovered that there is no all news AM radio station for Atlanta. Growing up in Connecticut I remember my dad listening to 1010 WINS to find out about the happenings in the tri-state area. Last night I had to suffer through 30 minute updates during the Dr. Laura show. Yuck.
I’m convinced that the leather recliner is the best invention ever in the history of the world. If you don’t have one and you are considering some new furniture, I would strongly suggest checking one out. Clicking will result in larger pics.
It’s over! The one-goal-a-day foosball game has finally come to a conclusion. It was a heated battle with many ups and downs in scoring. In the end, team handsome guy (me) won over team russian guy (John) 10-7. Today truely is a great day. Be on the look out for the rematch, bobafred vs. john: The Thrilla in Decatur.
I like to cook. For my birthday my parents got me The Sopranos Family Cookbook. Last night I made my first meal from it, Rigatoni with Broccoli. Yummy! It was good for my first attempt. I did cook the broccoli a little too much. Not crunchy enough. Next time it shall be better.
Enjoy the photo. Give it a clicky for a larger, more blurry version. Oh yeah, pollen sucks.
Thanks Mom and Dad!
