Ok, so I know that I mentioned it last week, but Cabin Fever comes out on DVD this Tuesday. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that this was my favorite movie of 2003. I know that Return of the King was a grandtastic movie, but there is just something about Cabin Fever that I loved.
First off, it is from my favorite genre of movies, horror. Next, it not only has the standard horror elements (gory as hell, a cabin in the woods, college students, boobs, etc), but it was extremely funny too. I’m talking fall-out-yo-seat funny. And, finally, its not all fancy CGI stuff. Just plain make-up effects. Great upper-low budget movie making.
So, don’t call me tomorrow night, because I’ll be busy watching a movie.
I finally finished reading The Chronicles of Narnia last week. What a long and fun journey. Anyway, on a recommendation, I picked up Neuromancer by William Gibson. This is often marked as the book that started the cyberpunk genre and Gibson is credited with coining the word ‘cyberspace’.
So far, it is pretty awesome.
rion.nu has some great photos of a Simpson’s pinball machine from a local bar. Eeeeexxxcellent.
I’m excited b/c my new Pumas came in the mail today. SWEET!
And, here they are:
I cannot wait to lace these bitches up and wear them.
I’ve already signed up to be a counselor here.
Seriously, who would name a camp this?
Being sick sucks ass.
The next two weeks are great for dvd releases. First we have Freddy vs. Jason and the first season of Curb Your Enthusiasm on 01/13. Then, the following week on 01/20 is Cabin Fever. I look forward to all.
It appears that my hit counter is back online after a week of down time. That’s good.
