I have been working my ass off this week, so as a treat, I decided to buy the two-disc Texas Chainsaw Massacre DVD today. I’m glad. I originally posted about this flick way back in 2003 when it was out in the theaters. I still feel that this is better than the original TCM. I really did not like that film.

Sometimes when you talk about someone and they hear it, but you don’t know that they hear it, it works out and you can become pretty good friends. I like when things like that happen.

Well, Team Bad Guy finally lived up to its name (and history) with a pretty poorly played defensive game last night. We almost managed a last inning come back, but it was not to be. I have a nice strawberry (or raspberry, depending on who you talk to) on my leg from sliding into second. I can feel my heart beat in my leg. Is that good?

I’d like to amend the below post by saying that the end of my week turned out to be quacktastic.

On Thursday I got a speeding ticket on highway 85. I’m not really that upset about it, since I fully admit that I was speeding. This is the first speeding ticket that I have ever received. Not a bad 10 year stretch, especially since I drive pretty fast. The state trooper was obviously not as impressed by this fact as I was. I really cannot believe that I have been driving for 10 years. I’m old.

This morning I woke up bright and early to go to work (more on that in a minute), to find that I had a flat tire. Yes. I’m talking completely flat. I’ve never officially had to change a tire before. I’ve helped my dad do it before, but never solo. Its not really a difficult process, but I consulted my owners manual none the less. I wanted to ensure that I applied the recommended ft/lbs of torque to the lugs. The most difficult part was getting the lugs loose initially. I had to setup the wrench such that I could stand on it and use my body weight to loosen them. This was one occasion where I was happy to be a bit overweight.

Finally, work was crap the past two days. I find that I am increasingly disliking my job daily. I hate when people schedule meetings during lunch and then use the argument that, ‘Hey, you get a free lunch out of it.’ Hey, I would rather leave the building, go to lunch with my peeps, and pay for it. Maybe its just me, but sitting in the same building for 8 hours straight is just difficult to do.

Anyway, I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my friends, both old and new, this weekend. I feel that I deserve it.
