Team Bad Guy was able to catch a break in the weather and officially open the season with a very strong game. And a strong victory. Heck yes. We all played really well, especially after a year hiatus for a majority of the team. Unfortunately, I did not suffer any injuries, but Jeff (aka: ‘Boom-Boom’) was the recipient of one errant throw to the upper chest region. Ouch city.

Thanks go out to the fans who showed up for the big game. And a sad goodbye to former all-star pitcher, Face as he will be moving to the windy city later this week. I am sadder than sad.

I was all set to post something and then ran into the all too common Blogger not working crap and forgot what I was going to say. I am pissed to the point that I have started to evaluate other options. Take that Blogger!

One of the best inventions in the food preparation area in recent years is the Saran Disposable Cutting Sheet. No more worries about mistakenly using the vegetable cutting board with the raw chicken. Just grab one, get your cut on, and dispose. How easy is that? Don’t forget to wash up, though, to avoid cross-contamination.

The only problem is that I couldn’t find them at my local Publix today. They have had them in the past, but not even a place on the shelf for them. I am disappointed and may have to talk to someone about it.

I was fartin’ around with some layout stuff, and I went ahead and changed the color a bit. My eyes like to look at green, so you get green. I guess it has a similar look to my old site colors, but I’m ok with that.

One known issue has cropped up:

  • IE 6.0 (SP2) doesn’t seem to like a border of type dotted, so when you mouse over the links in the main body, you will get dashed instead. There may be some kind of workaround, but to tell the truth, I don’t really care.

Here’s the part of the post where I suggest that you download a browser that doesn’t suck ass. Firefox, for example.

Tonight was supposed to be opening night for Team Bad Guy softball, but the rain had its way and ruined everything. I am pretty upset about this. I have been looking forward to getting back to the softball for sometime now. Looks like I’ll have to wait one more week. The spring season is always the worst as it tends to rain quite a bit in the ATL during this time. Stupid Atlanta.

Softball is a great time because it allows me to hangout with some people that unfortunately I don’t get to see too often, its semi-athletic, and there is always the possibility that I’ll get hurt. See below, click for larger-sized grossness.

The day of:

A few days later:

February and March have been pretty shit as far as DVD releases are concerned. I haven’t bought anything since Feb 15, that’s a long time. Tomorrow that changes as Star Wars: Clone Wars, Volume I makes its debut on the shiny disc.

This is a set of 20 animated shorts that originally aired on Cartoon Network back in 2003-4. I didn’t watch them at the time because they are all around 3 minutes each and I think that’s pretty dumb. Here they are edited together to make one continuous adventure, that’s better. The animation is done quite well by Genndy Tartakovsky and his artists, the same folks that brought us Samurai Jack and Dexter’s Laboratory.

Volume II of this story actually started tonight on Cartoon Network and continues the rest of this week at 7:00 pm. Since I haven’t seen Vol I, I am going to miss all of these. They should have probably waited until after the DVD for I came out before they started II, but that’s just my opinion.

I look forward to going to the store during lunch tomorrow and actually buying something. This will be a DVD Tuesday long remembered. It has seen the end of the recent DVD drought and will soon see the end of the Rebellion.
