12:46:14 pm - Me, Whiskerino - Comments (4)

I’ve been doing this Whiskerino thing for 84 days now. 84 days without shaving is a pretty long time. Originally I had hoped to win a King Beard or two, but I never anticipated the level of creativity that exists in the participants. There really are some great artists on the site. My current goal is simply to upload a photo everyday. So far, I’ve managed to succeed in this quest. Some days I’m not totally into it and you get lameness like this. Other days, however, I’m totally into it. Like yesterday’s Guess The Movie theme.

84 - Guess The Movie

This is what I had been thinking about doing all day. I kind of talked myself out of it, though, since we don’t have a chainsaw and I wasn’t sure what to use for blood, etc. I came up with another idea, that I liked, but Lori encouraged me to go with the original idea. I’m so glad she did (she’s awesome). This came out great and was so fun to create. Having ketchup all over your face is not that excellent, but it worked, so I’m happy with it.

  1. We looked at a couple wedding ceremony/reception places. So far we’ve seen 2 winners out of 2 visits. 100%. Lori is doing an awesome job at planning stuff. I’m not. But, we’ll soon have the best wedding website ever, so that’ll be awesome.
  2. I failed at doing roof things again. I just feel like I’m going to fall the whole time I’m up there. I think we’ve decided that I’m not going to attempt it too much more in the future. We also did some raking and filled up 17 of those giant 30 gallon leaf bags from Home Depot/Lowes. And that was just from the front yard. I don’t want to think about the backyard.
  3. Did anyone else notice how biased Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were during the Giants/Cowboys game today? I’m sure it bothers me more because I’m a Giants fan, but it was pretty annoying. Aikman sucks, btw.
  4. 3 words: Monster Truck Jam. This will be a separate post. Stay tuned.

Done.

And She Said, “Yes”

Yep. That’s right. At 11:59 pm last night I asked Lori to be my wife and she said yes. It was awesome. We got dressed up, made a fancy dinner, watched Fletch and then I popped the question. I really couldn’t have asked for a better new year celebration.

We met on March, 7th, 2005 at a Flickr meetup at Fellini’s on Ponce. Because of this we always tell people we met on the Internet, which is true and awesome. We gradually became friends and then better friends and then better better friends and then eventually fell in love. It was really an exciting ride.

I love Lori with all my heart. She’s made me the happiest person on the face of the earth. If I could only have one wish in life, it would be that she could have everlasting happiness. I hope that I can provide this wish for her. She’s the person I want to grow old with. She’s the person I want to start a family with. She’s the person I want to travel the world with and see all kinds of new and exciting sights.

She’s my best friend.

I love you, Lori. Thanks for being you.
