Holy good deal! Not only is the original 1933 King Kong headed to DVD on 11/22, but you can get the 2-disc Kong packaged with Son of Kong and Mighty Joe Young for a mere $27.94 at Amazon. That’s fantastic, but don’t tell my dad because I’ll probably buy it for him for Christmas.

I have wonderful memories of watching these very movies, plus Godzilla, every Thanksgiving on New York’s WOR (or, it might have been WPIX). It was always great fun spending time with the grandparents, eating way too much, and watching these movies for the millionth time.
