Last night was the March APWBWGTTD meetup at the Bucket Shop Cafe. The crowd was pretty big, with at least 20 people there. In a way, it’s good that a bunch of people bitched-out because they were scared of Buckhead or to go see some crap band, because any more and we would have been severely pushing the limits of our server’s skills. I had the french dip, which was pretty good, but not as good as the Brewhouse Cafe french dip. And for those that are interested, the Bucket Shop has excellent wings. Get the hot, they aren’t too hot.
Now, I’m horrible with names, but I remember at least meeting ATL Malcontent. There were other new folks too, but like I said, bad with names. So, sorry about that.
We closed out the evening at the Trackside Tavern in The Dec, where we enjoyed some additional drinks and darts. The teams were pretty balanced with Team Awesome made up of Duane and me, and Team Other Team made up of Dave and some dude at the bar with his own darts. Yeah, he was pretty good, but Team Awesome lived up to its name and won a couple. Go Team Awesome!
And finally, since atlbloggers.net is so crowded and it’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to find the blogs that I try to read everyday, I’ve added two more to the sidebar. So, welcome Daily Dose of Dave and Scam City. It was a difficult decision to add Dave, because everyone knows I hate that guy.
You should feel honored, without the ‘u’.
Team Awesome! I love it!
Bitched out…ouch.
Team Awesome is awesome but we did not go see a crap band.
Umm… I checked out that band on iTunes. It’s crap.
Thanks for the pitty link… and it was rough carrying Team Other Team. That other dude was just plain pathetic. He should fee lucky I kept the games so close. ;-)
See, Trackside IS cool! Next time I suggest it, maybe you all will be on board!
When did we say Trackside wasn’t cool?
I thought we were going to Highlander?
I have tried to get people to go there before, and everyone was all, it can’t be cool enough for us to go way out there… it isn’t THAT far out, is it?
duane, it’s freakishly far.
dave… you LIVE freakishly far. It isn’t freakishly far. It is literally like 3-5 miles from east atlanta (or so).
