Another home-filled work weekend for us.
Saturday I spent a few hours under the house putting down a vapor barrier. In case you were wondering, it’s very dirty and spider-webby down there. I should have taken photos. On a tip from my mom, I picked up a disposable coverall, which was a great idea. As you can see here, I got very dirty. This process completely sucked and I’m bruised and sore today as a result. Plus, I hit my head so hard on a floor joist, Lori heard it in the house. The opening to the crawlspace is pretty high, around 3 feet, but further in it gets down to about a foot. It was especially tight around the A/C ductwork. Shit, I’m a homeowner.
We closed out the evening with dinner with my parents at Steinbeck’s Oyster Bar. The Bluepoint oysters are awesome and the blackened grouper sandwich is insanely good. I’ll eat both again. My dad also helped us install a new bathroom light, which was awesome. After we dropped off the old timers, we headed over to Marcos‘ house for an end of summer party. This portion of the day was great.
Even though Sunday was originally scheduled to be a no-work day, we managed to wake up and get to Costco to buy a new mattress/box spring set and rent a truck from Home Depot to get it home. Then Lori took the lead on the completion of the master bathroom hangy-thing installation project. The woman will have photos later.
I’m going to have a rum and coke, enjoy macaroni Sunday and watch a horror movie.
i purchased mine at Home Depot for around 8 bucks, but it did not have a hood. a 97ยข painters hat went a long way to keeping the spiderwebs off my head, though.
word up, thanks.
no problemo.

Odd question for you: where can I get a single disposable coverall in the Atlanta area. Preferably, one with a hood. Thanks!
