Today I returned one tape adapter and picked up another. This time I went with the Monster iCarPlay Cassette Adapter. The good news is that this one did not produce the loud clicking sound that the Griffin did. The bad news is that with the volume on both my iPod and car set to max, I could barely hear the music. This one will also be returned.
And, while the Incase Neoprene Sleeve didn’t leave a sticky residue on the click wheel like some reviews suggest, it did leave a sticky residue on the back of my iPod. I’m not sure how happy I am about that.
I’m officially abandoning my quest in convincing you the Monster iCarPlay FM Modulator is the way you should go.
duane: I’m thinking I might have to check it out.
dave: I was trying to be cheap about it and get a tape adapter. But, that seems to not be working out for me.
I have an Agent 18 hard cover. It is quite awesome.
And I have the Belkin Tunebase for the car. I like it, but blank intown radio stations are hard to find and it gets static-y. Oh, and my car is crap and now neither the outlet nor cig. lighter work. So I’m screwed.
I have the Agent 18 cover too (I showed you it on Friday man)
iPod crap. What a waste of time listening to iTunes and watching MTV! Generations are lost!
Bill: You’re so old.
Sarah got me the DLO TransPod. It works great and I have absolutely no complaints.

I believe there is a TransPod II now, so it may be worth looking into that newer model.
I thought you liked sticky residue…
You just need to go with my setup in my truck. Take the Alpine IVA-D310 ($1400) and add on the KCA-420i ($100) iPod adapter and throw in a dash of 6 hours of installation. You will be right as rain.
Duuuuuuuuuuude. I’ll lend you my iTrip and your search will be over. I promise.
I have the same one as Mrak and no complaints either…..
