I’ve been a homeowner for two weeks now, but only lived there for one. Here’s a recap, in no particular order:

• We had a minor gas leak at the water heater that AGL repaired in less than one hour from my initial call. I guess gas leaks are sort of important.
• There was an incident with a dog.
• The fridge does not cool and all the food went bad. This should hopefully be resolved today.
• The yard is mosquito infested.
• I had to crawl around in the crawl space to reattach the dryer vent. It was dirty and spiderwebby.
• We didn’t have water for a few days and The Dept. of Watershed Management is not that great to deal with. I had to drive down to city hall to get it all sorted out.

Basically, I love it. Having a live-in girlfriend is awesome. We cook foodstuffs together. We goto Home Depot or Ikea and buy things that we later install. We’re just having a lot of fun together.

I’m really enjoying coming home to someone and a home that I truly feel is mine.
