completely incomplete.

If you don’t like knowing anything about a movie before viewing, you might not want to read this.

Kill Bill - Volume 1: Friday night was spent at the Hollywood 24 watching what is being billed as QT’s 4th movie. Not sure of the significance of this, but it was lots of fun. The movie had the standard QT elements (story told out of order, lots of violence, the dropping of the f-bomb), which is not a bad thing. The choreography involved in all of the samurai sword fighting was incredible. Not sure that I’ve ever seen so many body parts become detached from their bodies in a movie.
Lasting Impression: Everybody was kung-fu fighting.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Saturday night was spent with the Hewitt’s at their quaint little house in the middle of nowhere with lots of dead things. One word to describe this movie would be intense. While the story deviated a bit from the original, the structure was pretty much the same. Although, I would have to say that one scene that I missed from the original was at the end when Leatherface madly spins around thrashing the chainsaw to and fro. This was an excellent scary movie. On a side note, I am very happy with the recent influx of really good horror movies (28 Days Later, Cabin Fever, Freddy vs. Jason [yes, I said F vs. J was a really good movie]). Jessica Biel is hot.
Lasting Impression: Sarah was really scared.

Go see both.
