I read the latest installment of Jahnke’s Electric Theater this morning, because I like to read. In it Mr. Jahnke posted about The Strangers (warning: non-turnoffable audio), a new horror flick due this May. I was previously unaware of this one, and have to say that it looks creepy and good. I would consider seeing this in a movie theater establishment.
Watch the trailer here.

Tonight we’ll be watching The Exorcist, which I’ve never seen before and I’m a little freaked out by. Exorcisms creep me out. I’ve actually owned the DVD for over a year and was planning on watching it last Halloween, but it didn’t happen. I haven’t even unwrapped the plastic so as to contain the demons.
Also,
In honor of the season, here’s some horror/comedy/claymation.
My Kenwood VR-6060 home theater receiver has been a champ for the nearly 4.5 years that I’ve owned it. Since the Kenwood website sucks, I’m not linking to it.
Anyway, the other day we went to watch a DVD and there was no sound. After some cable checking I found that the coaxial digital input that I had the DVD player connected to went bad. The receiver also has Toslink (optical) digital inputs, but the DVD player does not support this. I was sad.
I quickly came up with three solutions.
Thankfully, #3 is a reality. I received it yesterday in the mail and hooked it up and all is well again. Living without a DVD player was difficult.
