I noticed an awesome bug today while looking up directions on Google Maps.
Do this:
Did it type in reverse? No? Honestly, it would sometimes not work for me either. But, between Lori and I we did see it happen in both Win XP and Vista with either FF2 or 3, including my new laptop (which doesn’t have Linux installed yet, or I would have probably checked there too).

Anyway, I thought it was a fun bug so I wrote a blog post about it.

Yesterday I took The Butt out to make number 2, like she likes to do from time to time. We went out the front door and down the steps of the front porch. We started to cross the front yard when out of nowhere something fell from the sky with a loud thud as it hit the ground. Whatever it was, it landed about 4 feet from us. It startled both of us.
We looked over and there was a squirrel lying on the ground. It got up, a little dazed, and dashed back to the “safety” of the nearest tree. We have giant old oak trees in our front yard, and the lowest branch on the tree it fell from is easily 30 feet in the air. I’m not exaggerating either. Our house has to be at least 15 feet tall, and it’s at least twice as high as the peak of our house. See look, I made a drawing on a photo:
After Molly realized what had happened, she lost it — barking, pulling, etc. This is probably the closest she has been to a real live squirrel without a window between them. She has this desire to eat squirrels. We think she might think they are mini-cats or something.
And, I don’t feel bad for the squirrel either, because:
Anyway, it was crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it.

I love broccoli and I like cauliflower, so I figured that I’d at least really like broccoflower. Because (love + like)/2 = really like. Mathy.
Anyway, I was wandering around the produce section and thought I’d like to try something new. Broccoflower it was. I wasn’t really sure how to prepare it, but figured the Internet would contain the recipes needed to save the day. And it did. The most delicious sounding one was curry roasted broccoflower, so it won. I think I used a little too much lemon juice, but it was still really good. To me, the broccoflower tasted and had the texture of cauliflower more than broccoli.
Lori added some curry chicken with rice and we had a meal full of goodness. We’re really kicking ass in the kitchen. It’s fun.
Tonight is grilled grouper with green beans and maybe a salad.
Last night I had a dream about ants that when they bite you, give you poison ivy. Poison Ivy Ants! Freaky. I haven’t had any run-ins with ants or poison ivy in a long time, so I’m not exactly sure where this came from. There was a pretty gigantic swarm of bees outside work yesterday, so that could have something to do with it. And, I’m highly highly allergic to poison ivy, so maybe that fear lives in my brain all the time.
Or it could have just been totally random. Whatever the reason, it freaked my shit out. I remember being afraid to fall asleep in the dream because I might get bit by a Poison Ivy Ant. Also, thinking how does one avoid Poison Ivy Ants in general. Like they would chase me and over power me and bite me and give me poison ivy.
Thankfully, I survived the Poison Ivy Ants so that I could share the experience with you.
I ran across this site, A Ditty 4 You, today and couldn’t stop laughing. My favorites are Think! Before Marking Your Emails High Priority and Cranberry, You’re Fantastic.
Enjoy.
So as to not scare everyone at the APWBWGTTD event tonight, I’m going to let you all in on a little secret…
